Purchase terms

Last updated October 7, 2026 · version 1

In short

  • A host pass costs SEK 29 (Evening pass, 24 hours) or SEK 149 (Annual pass, 365 days). Both are one-off purchases that do not renew.
  • The pass starts when the payment has gone through. At checkout you agree to this and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal ends once the pass has started.
  • Haven't used the pass, or did the game act up? Email us within 14 days and you will get your money back.
  • If something is wrong with the pass, you always keep your legal rights.

This is a translation of the Swedish purchase terms. In case of discrepancy the Swedish version applies.

Seller

Host passes are sold by Patrik Björklund, a sole trader in Sweden who runs HowFarOff ("we"). You can reach us at hej@howfaroff.com.

These purchase terms apply when you buy a host pass, in addition to the terms of use.

Host passes and prices

A host pass unlocks more in the lobby:

  • up to 20 players (free: 8)
  • 15–30 questions per game (free: 5 or 10)
  • team mode

It is enough for one signed-in player in the lobby to have a valid pass, and the lobby is unlocked for everyone in it. The rest of the game is free, with or without a pass.

Evening pass

Price
SEK 29
Valid for
24 hours

Annual pass

Price
SEK 149
Valid for
365 days

Prices are in Swedish kronor and are final prices. We are exempt from VAT under the rules for small businesses, so no VAT is added. If you have a promotion code, you enter it at checkout.

Buying and paying

You need an account to buy a pass, because the pass is linked to the account. You pay at Stripe's checkout with one of the payment methods shown there, such as card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Swish. Stripe handles the payment, and we never see your card details.

The purchase is complete when the payment has gone through. Stripe then emails a receipt in the form of an invoice to the address you gave at checkout. The email confirms the purchase and your consent (see Right of withdrawal below).

Delivery and validity

The pass is linked to your account and starts when the payment has gone through. The Evening pass is then valid for 24 hours and the Annual pass for 365 days. Nothing renews and nothing is charged automatically, so there is no subscription to cancel.

A new pass is never queued after one you already have. While an Annual pass is valid you therefore cannot buy another pass, and while an Evening pass is valid you cannot buy another Evening pass. You can buy an Annual pass even while an Evening pass is valid. It then starts right away, and both are valid at the same time until the Evening pass ends.

The pass belongs to your account and cannot be moved to anyone else. If you delete your account, the pass is gone.

Right of withdrawal

When you buy something online you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. For digital content there is an exception (Chapter 2, Section 11, point 11 of the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act): the right of withdrawal ends once the supply has started, if you have expressly agreed that it starts right away and acknowledged that you will then have no right of withdrawal.

So that the pass can start right away, you tick a box at checkout with this text:

"I accept the purchase terms and want the host pass to be activated immediately. I understand that I will then have no right of withdrawal."

You cannot pay without ticking it. The right of withdrawal only ends once the pass has started. The confirmation of your consent is in the receipt email itself, which Stripe sends after the purchase. The voluntary refund below still applies.

Voluntary refund

Email us within 14 days of the purchase and we will refund the full amount if:

  • you have not used the pass, or
  • the game did not work as it should when you used it.

Include your account name and the email address you paid with. The money goes back to the same payment method, usually within 5–10 business days, and the pass stops being valid. The refund is voluntary on our part and comes on top of your legal rights.

If something is wrong

If the pass does not work as promised, for example if it does not start or does not unlock the lobby, you have rights under Chapter 9 of the Swedish Consumer Sales Act (2022:260). We must then first fix the problem. If that is not possible, or takes too long, you are entitled to a price reduction or to cancel the purchase and get your money back. You may also be entitled to damages.

Make a complaint by emailing us within a reasonable time after you noticed the problem. Describe what happened and include your account name and the email address you paid with.

Personal data when you buy

When you buy, we store which pass you bought, the price, the time and Stripe's reference to the payment. These are accounting records, so they are kept for 7 years. Your card details and the email address you give at checkout are handled by Stripe and are not stored by us. There is more in the privacy policy.

Changes

We may change the prices and the purchase terms. Your purchase always follows the terms and the price that applied when you bought. The date and version at the top show when the terms last changed in substance.

Disputes

If you are not happy, contact us first and we will try to sort it out. If we cannot agree, you can turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), arn.se, which handles disputes between consumers and businesses free of charge. Swedish law applies, but if you live in another EU country you keep the protection that consumer law there gives you.
